Activity #12:
Puzzle Fun
The child is asked if they hear specific sounds in words. If they answer correctly, a piece of the background picture is revealed.

Activity #13:
Beginning Sounds
The child clicks on the objects with the same beginning sound as the keyword given. There are four biomes for this exercise: jungle, ocean, desert, and savannah.

Learning Objective:

To help the child listen for specific sounds in words and perceive sounds in various positions in words.



Activity #18:
Letter Formation/Hearing Letter Sounds

The child clicks on a letter and hears the letter name, observes the letter formation, and hears examples of words beginning with that sound.

Activity #19:
Formal Letter Formation
The child then hears the letter name again, and sees the letter drawn on a chalkboard.

To model the formation of upper and lower case letters, and to hear the letter sounds.

Activity #22:
Finding the Ending Sound

The child selects the ending letter that makes the word for the picture.

Activity #23:
What is the New Sound?

The child hears and sees a word with a picture representation. One of the letters fades. A new picture appears and the new word is pronounced. The child selects the new letter.

Learning Objective:
To help the child substitute the beginning, middle, and ending sounds in words. Note: When the child moves the cursor over the letters, the letter sound is said. When the cursor is over the object, the object name is said.



Activity #25:
Blending Beginning Sounds

The child sees and hears a word with a beginning sound segmented from the rest of the word. The child selects the matching picture.

Activity #26:
Blending Ending Sounds
The child sees and hears a word with an ending sound segmented from the rest of the word. The child selects the matching picture.

Learning Objective:
To provide exposure and practice synthesizing sounds into words.
